MarineMax appointed Dale Hardison as general manager of MarineMax Wrightsville Beach.

He succeeds Carrington "Cary" Smart, who has taken on a new role at MarineMax's Pompano Yacht Center.

According to a news release, Hardison "brings a wealth of leadership experience and a people-first approach to the role, following a successful tenure at MarineMax Lake Ozark. Over the past two and a half years, Dale helped drive sales performance and business office excellence, contributing to Lake Ozark’s achievement as a top 10 store in 2024."

Prior to joining MarineMax, Hardison spent more than 20 years in leadership roles with major automotive dealership groups across the Midwest, the release stated. Throughout his career, he has launched new dealership locations, streamlined sales and service operations and led high-performing teams in finance and sales, according to the release.

TJ Rose, regional president of MarineMax, stated in the release, “Cary and the Wrightsville Beach team have done an outstanding job over the past six years, significantly growing our market share with world-class brands such as Boston Whaler, Sea Ray and Scout Boats. Their dedication has also ensured an exceptional ownership experience for our customers. I want to extend my best wishes to Cary as he takes on his new role at our Pompano Yacht Center, and I am excited to continue our growth trajectory in the Wilmington market with Dale and the rest of the team."
