FishingBooker, a platform that connects anglers with fishing guides, recently announced the winners of the 2025 Angler’s Choice Award.

According to a news release, the yearly award was first given in 2015 and recognizes "the exceptional service and dedication of captains who consistently deliver outstanding fishing experiences to their customers."

From 8,732 captains on the platform, only 672, or 7.7% stood out for their excellence, the release stated.

In New Hanover County, eight captains received the award out of 52 local guides partnered with FishingBooker.

"These captains have consistently demonstrated exceptional customer service, reliability, and top-tier fishing experiences," according to the release.
