Foster Hired As President, CEO Of Cape Fear Habitat For Humanity

Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity recently announced Marlowe Foster has been hired as president and CEO of the affiliate.

Previously, Foster served as CEO of Habitat for Humanity of North Carolina, and he will start his new position Feb. 18, according to a news release.

Interim Executive Director Susan Kline stated in the release that Foster's “wealth of knowledge in fundraising, advocacy and development will be an asset to our affiliate.”

Foster has more than 25 years of senior-level experience. Prior to his position at Habitat NC, Marlowe represented BASF, Pfizer and Lowe’s Companies Inc. in government and community affairs, communications and corporate foundation management, according to the release. He also served as senior vice president for development and business strategy at the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC, where he was charged with leading a development team responsible for more than $25 million in annual revenue, the release stated. 

Foster has also been a member of a variety of state nonprofit boards, including the State Banking Commission of North Carolina, Z. Smith Reynolds Advisory Panel, NC Chamber of Commerce, Senior Services Inc. Board, the NC Progress Board and the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond Community Investment Council, according to the release.
