The Women’s Impact Network of New Hanover County (WIN) elected four new board members to serve two-year terms. The new board members are Kay Dougherty, Carol Earey, Lorrie Ridder, and Karen Rogalski.

They join remaining board members Linda Harootyan, chair; Linda Thomas, secretary; and Sadie Campbell, Leigh Johnson, Debbie Mott and Wendy Fingerhut.

"WIN is a women-powered, volunteer-run collective giving circle composed of more than 115
women who pool their contributions annually to provide grants to nonprofit organizations whose missions, goals, projects and services positively impact New Hanover County communities," according to a news release.

Since WIN was established in 2011, the organization has awarded grants totaling more than
$600,000 to 39 nonprofits, the release stated.

Each year, WIN focuses on one of four areas of giving. Last year the focus was the environment, and WIN awarded $60,000 in grants to six local nonprofits. For 2025, the focus is arts and culture. The grants application process opened Jan. 10, and applications are due Feb. 14.
