Wilmington-Cape Fear HBA, Members Win Statewide Awards

The Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association (WCFHBA) and several of its member companies were celebrated for their excellence and contributions to the homebuilding industry at the 2024 STARS Awards Gala, held Nov. 13 at the Embassy Suites Concord Convention Center during the 21st Century Building Expo & Conference.

The STARS Awards, presented by the North Carolina Home Builders Association, honor the best in North Carolina’s residential construction, design and sales and marketing efforts, according to a news release. The statewide competition "recognizes outstanding achievements and innovation across the industry, highlighting individual and collective excellence."

WCFHBA and WCFHBA builder members were honored in a broad range of categories that include the following:

Association awards
  • Best HBA Social Media
  • Best HBA Publication
  • Best HBA Marketing Campaign
  • Best Workforce Development Initiative
  • Best Government Affairs Initiative
  • Best HBA Parade of Homes Marketing (5th consecutive win)
  • Best HBA Community Project or Program
  • Best HBA Event or Special Program

Member awards

D.R. Horton:
  • Sales Professional of the Year – Deanna Hull
  • Superintendent of the Year – Scott Raley
  • Construction Manager of the Year – Chris Hatfield

Stevens Fine Homes:
  • Online Sales Counselor of the Year – Courtney Schmitter
  • Marketing Professional of the Year – Naomi Wright Bellamy
  • Sales Team of the Year o Best 30 to 60 Second Commercial

Coastline Homes NC: 
  • Best Website for a Builder 

Parksite:
  • Best Logo for an Associate

“We are so proud to see WCFHBA and our members recognized on this statewide stage,” said Shawn Horton, owner of Trusst Builder Group and 2024 WCFHBA president, in the release. “These awards are a reflection of the incredible talent and dedication within our association and among our builder members.”

The Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association (WCFHBA) is a 1,700-member firm trade association representing over 850 companies.
