Ward Realty Earns Tourism Impact Award

A Topsail area real estate firm earned a tourism impact award for 2023 from NC Coast Host.

Ward Realty Corp., one of the original developers of Topsail Island, is in its third generation of leadership and specializes in real estate and vacation rentals, according to a news release.

"The company is 77 years old and has provided generations with vacation memories on Topsail Island," the release stated.

Also honored were the welcome centers of Currituck County and Julie Beck, the co-director of the N.C. Pickle Festival in Mount Olive. NC Coast Host bestowed the 2023 Tourism Impact Awards at its annual meeting, hosted by Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery in Elizabethtown and the White Lake Chamber of Commerce.

“We were pleased to present awards to our highest tourism award to those who have made a tremendous impact on our industry,” said Salem Clarke, president of NC Coast Host and tourism director of Onslow County.
