Tim Milam, CEO of Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage, has been named to the RISMedia 2023 Real Estate Newsmakers Hall of Fame, according to a news release.

The 2023 honorees, a select group of icons in the industry "recognized for their long-standing and exemplary service," were celebrated Sept. 6 at a reception and dinner held at the historic Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC, the release stated.

Milam’s award was presented to him by Liz Gehringer, president and CEO of Anywhere Franchise Brands.

Nominations for the awards are made by RISMedia readers and editors with final selections being based on the individuals’ contributions to their companies, colleagues and communities, according to the release.

"From creativity and innovation to record-breaking sales numbers and wonderful philanthropic works, they have gone above and beyond in service to the companies and markets they serve," the release stated.

Milam has grown Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage to a network of 24 offices across Southeastern North Carolina. He also led the firm to being the No. 1 ranked Coldwell Banker company in the nation in 2021 and 2022, according to the release.

“This is a huge honor for me,” Milam said in the release. “I am very grateful for the recognition but I would be remiss if I didn’t thank my agents and staff for their dedication and commitment to the interests of our clients. I tell people all the time, we work for the agents, they do not work for us, and I take that very seriously. They are simply the best of the best and I love them dearly. Without them, none of the growth, achievements, and success would be possible.”
