More than 30 chapter and individual awards were presented to Brunswick Town Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution at the North Carolina DAR conference in Durham in late April, according to a news release.
The chapter, founded in 1976, has 180 members and several applicants under review at DAR's national headquarters.

Daughters of the American Revolution is a service organization founded in 1890 for women who can prove direct, blood lineage from a Revolutionary War Patriot. The nonprofit, nonpolitical organization promotes patriotism, education, and historic preservation, the release stated.
