According to a news release, UNCW's business services division is comprised of three major units that direct a variety of programs serving the university's students, faculty, staff, visitors, alumni and guests. These programs include, but are not limited to: campus dining, the UNCW bookstore, parking, transportation, Seahawk Mail, printing services, passport services and the office of sustainability, the release stated.

“Mr. Galutera’s experience in effectively managing contracted services and implementing process/technology-based improvements will enable Business Services to continue to improve and build upon the important services it provides today,” said Miles Lackey, vice chancellor for business affairs, in the release.

Galutera previously served as UNCW’s director of auxiliary services. He joined UNCW from Brandeis University, where he served as the managing director of auxiliary services. Prior to that, he worked at The Citadel, where he served as associate director of auxiliary services and director of One Card services.

"Galutera has a successful record of directly planning and implementing quality service improvements across a variety of auxiliary functions, including campus dining, bookstore operations, beverage/vending services and One Card operations," the release stated. "In addition, Galutera has experience in the private sector, having served as corporate marketing manager for the Sticky Fingers Restaurant Group."
