The Cape Fear Housing Coalition elected its new executive board at its annual meeting in August, according to a news release.

The newly elected board includes chair Clayton Hamerski, a Realtor with Wilmington-based Intracoastal Realty Corp.; vice chair Liz Carbone, community engagement coordinator at Good Shepherd Center; advocacy and education committee chair Amy Davis, homeowner services manager with Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity; membership committee chair Michele Bennett, manager of community engagement with Novant Health; and treasurer Sam Weldon, development associate with Blue Ridge Atlantic.

The Cape Fear Housing Coalition meets virtually on the second Tuesday of each month. Founded in 2003, the housing coalition is comprised of community advocates and leaders from the public, private, nonprofit, finance, legal, affordable housing, real estate, and other sectors who come together to work collaboratively in strategizing around issues of affordable housing.
