The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin (JSF) recently opened an office in Wilmington, citing the city’s "dynamism" as one of the reasons for the expansion, according to a news release.
The new office is located at 428 Eastwood Road.
“We strive to serve people seeking justice in every corner of the state,” said James Farrin, the firm’s president, in the release. “The Wilmington area is a vibrant and diverse community. Having a home base here will help us in our fight for those who need a voice.”
Since the firm’s founding, its more than 60 attorneys have recovered $1.4 billion for more than 55,000 people, the release stated.
"The firm won national praise when it championed the cause of Black farmers who had suffered decades of governent discrimination – eventually securing a $1 billion settlement from the USDA," the release stated.
The firm operates 17 offices in North Carolina and one in South Carolina and focuses on personal injury, car accidents, workers' compensation, nursing home abuse, whistleblowing, defective products, eminent domain, mass torts, class actions and Social Security Disability.
