One of the largest residential real estate firms in the region and state recently announced a new chief financial officer.

Denise Kinney, president of Wilmington-based Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage, announced that Chris Ladner, previously the firm's assistant comptroller, has been promoted to CFO. As assistant comptroller, Ladner "successfully implemented new platforms and enhanced the company’s systems and client services," according to a news release.

“Chris has continually streamlined our processes and raised the bar on the resources that we provide for our agents,” Kinney said in the release. “In turn, this maximizes the ways that we can best serve our clients and optimize their customer experience.”

A Wilmington native, Ladner attended Hoggard High School and after graduation served for five years in the U.S. Navy. Upon completion of his military service, he earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and his master's degree in business administration at UNCW.

“Chris is an incredible asset to our team," stated Tim Milam, CEO of Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage, in the release. “His proven knowledge and ability to develop and execute effective financial plans continue to make us more efficient. ”

Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage surpassed $3.2 billion in closed sales volume in 2021 and the Advantage family of companies ranked No. 1 in North America for total closed units in the Coldwell Banker Real Estate global network.
