Dosher Memorial Hospital Foundation has welcomed Edgar Haywood III to its board of directors, according to a news release.

Haywood served as CEO and administrator at Dosher Hospital from 1992 to 2012, when he retired.

The foundation's board of directors is made up of a broad spectrum of community members and is charged with the responsibility of managing donations and allocating foundation funds either as directed by the donor or to maximize the effectiveness of the contribution.

Board members work alongside foundation staff and Lynda Stanley, the hospital's president and CEO, to further the mission of the foundation.

“Edgar brings passion and an in-depth knowledge of the history of Dosher that will surely enhance the diverse perspectives and thoughtful insights offered by our board members," Stanley stated in the release. "We are confident that Mr. Haywood’s investment in our hospital and the community will have a favorable impact on our mission.”

The Dosher Memorial Hospital Foundation was established and began operating in March 2010.
