Beach & Barn has hired Corey Spell, according to a news release.

Spell will serve as assistant creative director of the Wilmington-based designer and distributor of various apparel, stated the release.

Spell has four years of previous retail management experience with Zia Boutique in the Forum, officials said.

At Beach & Barn, Spell is "responsible for hat and tee-shirt product development, seasonal workbook coordination, as well as general management responsibilities," stated the release.

Spell completed International Business coursework at the University of Wollongong in Australia. She graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington this past fall.

“Corey has already made a positive impact on the quality and pace of our product development calendar, and we anticipate that impact will only grow as her role continues," said Watson Barnes, of Beach & Barn, said in the release.
