Tufanna Bradley-Thomas has been named an assistant county manager with New Hanover County, according to a news release.

Bradley-Thomas' new role with the county will begin Aug. 27, stated the release. She is assistant county manager over the county’s Parks and Gardens Department, N.C. Cooperative Extension and Arboretum, Public Library, Cape Fear Museum, Soil and Water Conservation District and the Board of Elections, stated the release.

She has been the county's community affairs coordinator since January and will continue to manage the county’s community affairs.

“Tufanna understands the county’s operations from working here for seven months, and brings a diverse, outside perspective that is so important to have as well,” County Manager Chris Coudriet said in the release.

Bradley-Thomas has served as the director of several nonprofit organizations. She was also a community relations coordinator for New Hanover County Schools.

She has a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in sociology from East Carolina University. She holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
