North State Bank Mortgage has expanded the professional staff of its Wilmington office with the addition of Stevie Mitchell.
 
Mitchell brings considerable experience to his role as senior mortgage loan officer, according to the company's news release. He began his career at Virginia Heritage Bank in Chantilly, Virginia, as a loan officer. He subsequently joined Freedom Bank of Virginia as a senior loan officer and team leader.
 
Last year, Mitchell returned to Wilmington, where he had earned his undergraduate degree from University of North Carolina Wilmington.
 
"Home purchases often serve as mile markers in our lives," Mitchell said in the release. "My goal is to empower borrowers with the information they need to make a good choice for today and tomorrow."
 
North State Bank Mortgage is a division of Raleigh-based North State Bank. The company serves customers through its offices in Raleigh, Garner, Wake Forest and Wilmington.
