Susan Willett and Kara Boyd have joined the IronGate Partners team, according to a news release.

Willett joined as a senior wealth adviser and Boyd is director of investments, officials said. 

Willett is a Certified Financial Planner and a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor. She was most recently director of trust services at Old North State Trust in Wilmington, a position she held for the past 10 years. She was also a vice president and trust officer for Wachovia Wealth Management in Wilmington.

Willett has a bachelor's degree in business administration and an MBA from Campbell University with a concentration in trust administration and a minor in financial planning, according to the release.

She has served as president of the New Hanover County Estate Planning Council.

Boyd (right) joins IronGate with more than 15 years of experience working in trust and investment management, officials said in the release.

She was most recently a portfolio manager with Old North State Trust in Wilmington. She started her career with Morgan Stanley Asset Management in New York.

Boyd graduated from Fairfield University in Connecticut. She received her MBA from Boston University. She is also an active member and past board member of the New Hanover County Estate Planning Council, according to the release.
