LS3P has been recognized by the American Institute of Architects North Carolina with the North Carolina Firm Award for 2018, according to a news release.

The award recognizes the firm’s quality and client satisfaction and is “the highest honor the Chapter can bestow,” officials said in the release. The firm operates from eight offices in North and South Carolina, including Wilmington.

It has more than 320 employees in North Carolina, stated the release.

LS3P’s portfolio includes 10 major practice areas, including aviation and transportation, K-12 education, military, office and residential. The firm also has other specialties, including civic and historic preservation projects, officials said.

Its recent work locally includes Cape Fear Community College's Wilson Center. Other projects in North Carolina include Charlotte’s 300 South Tryon office tower and Raleigh’s Wolf Ridge student housing and dining on N.C. State University's Centennial Campus.
