Apiture, an open API banking company focused on technology for financial institutions, has announced that Drew DiMarino has been named executive vice president of sales.

DiMarino joins Apiture as a seasoned leader in the financial services industry, with more than 20 years of experience in B2B and B2C sales and business development, according to a news release.

“Drew has developed deep relationships within the financial services industry and will position Apiture as a leader in providing an open API framework for digital banking,” said Chris Cox, president of Apiture, in the release. “He understands the complexities of the market, and his addition to the team will bolster our ability to strategically expand our reach so banks and credit unions can provide their customers with the digital solutions they have come to expect.”

DiMarino is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he received a bachelor’s degree in history, and he earned a master’s degree in business administration from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.

In his most recent role at the wealth management platform, he effectively led a sales team that worked with executives of various community banks, regional banks and credit unions to help them leverage technology to drive more client interaction and satisfaction, officials said.

“It is an exciting time to be part of the Apiture trajectory as a leading provider of cloud-based technology,” DiMarino said in the release. “I look forward to expanding our opportunities in the marketplace and leading the way to transforming the banking industry.”
