Brunswick County Association Of Realtors Earns National Recognition

By Christina Haley O'Neal, posted Mar 13, 2018
The Brunswick County Association of Realtors (BCAR) has been recognized with both the 2017  Realtors Political Action Committee (RPAC) Triple Crown and President’s Cup Awards, which recognize local associations that excel in supporting and promoting the Realtor Party, according to a news release.

The Realtor Party is an alliance of Realtors and Realtors associations working to advance public policies and candidates that build strong communities, protect property interests and promote a vibrant business environment, officials said in the release.

“Homeownership is the cornerstone of the American Dream, and it is imperative that Realtors actively engage in public policy discussions that support homeownership and private property rights,” said Wilson Sherrill, 2017 NCPAC Trustee and 2017-2018 BCAR legislative chair. “Our members are actively engaged in supporting the Realtor Party, and we are proud that their dedication and commitment has earned national recognition.”

The Triple Crown Award recognizes local associations that met or exceeded PAC fundraising and participation goals, and the President’s Cup Award recognizes local associations that excelled in promoting the Realtor Party.

In order to qualify for the President’s Cup award, a local association must achieve an average response rate of 20 percent on National Association of Realtors (NAR) Calls for Action and meet or exceed their PAC fundraising goal.
