The Health Care Heroes award winners were announced Friday night during a ceremony at the Country Club of Landfall.
, founding dean of UNCW’s College of Health and Human Services, was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Recipients were also honored for excellence in 10 categories in the awards from the Greater Wilmington Business Journal. Each category had three finalists, and the following were chosen as the overall winners:
CHRISTY SPIVEY, administrator for regional services with New Hanover Regional Medical Center
OLIVIA RICE, breastfeeding peer counselor for Chocolate Milk of Wilmington

DEANNA CRESCENZI, telemetry monitor technician with NHRMC
JOSEPH PINO, SEAHEC executive director; associate dean and campus director for UNC School of Medicine Wilmington campus; and vice president of graduate medical education at NHRMC
NURSE PRACTITIONER/PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT:
VICTORIA OXENDINE, manager of ambulatory services with NHRMC
MANDY O’HARA, director of patient care services for Lower Cape Fear Hospice
LOGAN JONES, junior volunteer at Pender Memorial Hospital
