A group of local cyber security experts recently launched Cyber Security Integration, a Wilmington-based partnership focusing on areas such as risk management, cyber and physical security and legal and regulatory compliance.

“Our goal is to assist companies in reaching levels of reasonable security mandated by state, federal and international laws, which require businesses to protect the personally identifiable information (PII) of employees, vendors and customers, as well as the data most important to the business,” Larry Blumenfeld, CSI’s president who previously founded Access Control Consultants, said in a news release.

David Willson, whose background is as a risk management and cyber security attorney with Titan Info Security Group LLC, and Charles Tendell, cyber security expert and ethical hacker with Azorian Cyber Security, also are part of the new venture.

In the wake of high-profile, national data breaches, companies and consumers are increasingly paying attention to protecting personal and financial information.

“Preparation is the key to lowering the risk of a cyberattack,” Willson advised, “and then reacting quickly when a breach or incident is discovered.”
