Digital Marketing Firm Rolls Out

By V.L. Craven, posted Aug 28, 2015
These days it’s not enough for a business to merely have a website – the site has to reach as many potential clients as possible. To do that, the site has to rank high in search engine results.

To that end, Wilmington-based Blooswell LLC, focuses on helping its clients improve their search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM) and social media management.

Founder Antoine Delanglade knew he wanted to be involved in the tech industry from his first internship, which was with digital-marketing agency Hiveworks in London.

“I decided that this is where I wanted to be. I love technology, I love startups, and I have a major in finance,” Delanglade said in an email. “My long-term objective is to do venture capital investments. Doing so I met a lot of entrepreneurs doing amazing things, so obviously at some point you want to do that too. Actually, I think the idea of creating my own business was in my mind even before I started business school (always having ideas but never doing anything with them).”

He transferred to University of North Carolina Wilmington after his first year at Kedge Business School in Marseille, France, and did two other internships beside Hiveworks – Dailymotion and Invibox.

When Delanglade, who had done some SEO consulting while in school, was ready to start his own company he said he “analyzed the skills I had that would be able to fill a need in the market, and I decided to start a SEO agency.”

He had the idea Christmastime last year, and the company was incorporated in the end of January. Blooswell launched in February, and Delanglade was working with his first client that month.

Blooswell now assists with SEO, SEM and social media management, as well as rebuilding websites, if the situation calls for it. The firm plans to offer more services in the future.

“I am working to include e-reputation monitoring and management,” Delanglade said.

The company has three active accounts and eight proposals being considered. He worked on six accounts before the summer.

Delanglade is the only employee of Blooswell right now.

“For some projects I hire approved and vetted subcontractors,” he said. “I can take advantage of the pool of resources that are at UNCW at any time.”

Blooswell is Delanglade’s sole focus at the moment. Though he enjoys surfing when he needs a break and looks forward to seeing more of the country as the company expands, he spends most of his time on the new company.

“I am working on building partnerships with other agencies, either to offer more complete solutions that better suit my clients needs and to be backed by bigger agencies so I will be able to sign bigger accounts,” he said. “Most of those companies are established agencies in Europe who are trying to expand to the U.S. market.”
