Jaime Russell was named director of the Office for Student Leadership & Engagement at the University of North Carolina Wilmington last month, according to a news release.
 
She started as director early this month.
 
The office reports to the associate vice chancellor of student affairs and to the dean of students, schools officials said.
 
As a member of the Student Affairs Leadership Team, Russell provides direction to leadership, engagement and other issues related to students and student life on campus.

Russell is a graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in psychology and received a master’s degree in student personnel service. She is in the process of earning her doctorate of education at UNCW.
 
Before becoming director, Russell had worked with the Office of Student Leadership &  Engagement since 2012.
