Desserts On The Menu For Carolina Beach

By Elizabeth White, posted Dec 8, 2021
A new dessert business will offer some “peachy news” for Carolina Beach residents.

Coming in mid-January, The Peach Cobbler Factory plans to set up at 1010 S. Lake Park Blvd. The approximately 1,000-square-foot space will serve up a dessert bar offering three choices plus a peach tea drink option.

The restaurant will offer a selection of cobblers, cinnamon rolls and banana pudding. But the Nashville-based franchise doesn’t just offer your typical cobbler or banana pudding. Instead, there are 12 cobbler flavors, each included with a scoop of ice cream; three types of cinnamon rolls; and five banana pudding selections on its menu.

Cobbler options include mango peach, caramel apple and apple walnut raisin among others. The classic Southern favorites, such as the banana pudding, also come with a twist. The menu offers additional banana pudding flavors such as Nutella and Oreo.

The restaurant is a joint venture between Greg George, Corey Carter and Vinny Doria.

“Carolina Beach is in need of more after-dinner dessert options,” said George, founder of Foodie Franchise. “I am excited about The Peach Cobbler Factory because it is not ice cream, and it is not seasonal. It is just what Carolina Beach needs.”

Doria will run the day-to-day operations of the upcoming Carolina Beach location. Doria said he chose the spot because “we felt Carolina Beach needed a specialty dessert restaurant.”

“The area has so many good restaurants to choose from but nothing with these one-of-a-kind, type of desserts we are going to supply,” he said.

The restaurant will include indoor and outdoor seating options, along with to-go, catering and delivery services. The Peach Cobbler Factory, which started in 2013, has locations scattered across the Southeast.
