Halloween Celebration To Feature Oysters In Burgwin-Wright Gardens

By Staff Reports, posted Sep 22, 2021
Oysters in October, a Halloween-themed oyster roast hosted by Wilmington West Rotary Club, will take place 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 29 in the gardens at the Burgwin-Wright House, according to a recent announcement.

Tickets are $75 each, and include steamed oysters and shrimp and two drink tickets, with proceeds benefitting local nonprofits. A cash bar will be available.

“The gardens at Burgwin-Wright will be a beautiful setting for some fabulous food and drink, music, and some Halloween fun,” said event chair Sue Meier in a news release. “Come in costume, or just enjoy the atmosphere. If you are costume-inclined, you may want to start planning – we’ll have prizes for the scariest, zaniest and least traditional costumes. Either way, we just want you to come and have a great time.”

The Burgwin-Wright House and Gardens is located at 224 Market St. in Wilmington.

For tickets, and for sponsorship opportunities, contact Sue Meier via email and 538-3781.

“We’re sourcing the best oysters and shrimp, and will have A-Team bartenders.” Meier said. “Please join us for a memorable evening for some great causes.”
