Blue Shark Vodka Takes Top Prize At Spirits Festival

By Staff Reports, posted Sep 15, 2021
Blue Shark Vodka was ranked among the top vodkas in the world recently with a major win at the San Diego Spirits Festival, according to a news release.

Judges awarded the vodka from Wrightsville Beach a platinum award for consistency, presentation and taste.

"This designation is for the finest products produced in the world and the highest award honor at the festival," the release stated.

Additionally, the San Diego Spirits Festival is considered one of the top cocktail festivals in the world, according to the release. The festival’s spirits competition brings in world experts for a blind tasting and full analysis.

Blue Shark Vodka also received a gold medal for design, awarded on merit for exceptional and outstanding presentation, the release stated.

The win brings two more medals to Blue Shark Vodka’s collection; vodka has previously won platinum at the SIP Awards and a gold medal for design at last year’s San Diego Spirits Festival.

Blue Shark Vodka was founded by the Bloomquist family, and the first bottle was produced and sold in 2019.
