It's Time For The 12 Tastes (or More) Of Christmas

By Jessica Maurer, posted Dec 4, 2019
Encore Magazine will host the 12 Tastes (or more) of Christmas, a celebration of food and drink, Dec. 12 at the Brooklyn Arts Center and its adjoining annex.

This year’s 12 Tastes theme is “A Christmas Story,” in honor of the classic holiday film.

Over 30 local eateries, bars and breweries will vie for awards, including best bite, sip, and decorated booth. Attendees are encouraged to dress up to fit the theme as well for a chance at prizes.

Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Nourish NC, a local non-profit organization that provides food to children in New Hanover County schools via numerous outreach programs.

A partial list of participating venues includes: Beer Barrio, Bill’s Brewing Company, Board and Barrel, Boombalatti's Homemade Ice Cream, Cape Fear Distillery, Cast Iron Kitchen, Cravings, Dram & Morsel, Edward Teach Brewing, Flying Machine Brewing Company, Flytrap Brewing, Green Line Pizza, Island Beverage, Italian Bistro, Little Dipper, New Anthem Beer Project, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Palate Bottle Shop, Panacea Brewing Company, Savor Southern Kitchen, Shuckin’ Shack, Skytown Brewery, Spoonfed Kitchen and Bakeshop, Steam Restaurant & Bar, Tap Tea Bar, The Second Glass, Trey Herring Carolina Bourbon, True Blue Butcher and Table, Wake N Bake Donuts, Waterline Brewing, Wilmington Brewing Company, YoSake and Zocalo.

Tickets to the 21+ event are $50 per person for general admission, and $75 per person for VIP tickets, which allow a one-hour earlier admission at 6 p.m. and include a T-shirt. Tickets can be purchased online.
