Gary and Sue Coleman, owners of Cape Fear Spice Merchants, plan to host a tea mocktail party fronm 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
The Colemans have been making mocktails, or non-alcoholic cocktails, for years using healthy teas in place of sugary mixers.
They say that mocktails allow those that do not want to consume alcohol to still be a part of the festivities by enjoying a delicious beverage.
Four drinks will be prepared, and each will be paired with a small bite made with ingredients found at the store. Gary Coleman, a chef by trade, will demonstrate both the drink and food preparations and discuss the pairings.
Each of the items used in the demonstration will be available that evening at a discounted price for attendees.
Space is limited and advance tickets are required. Tickets can be purchased online.
