Just in time for the peak summer season, Anne Bonny’s Bar & Grill has added several new items to the both the food and beverage menus.

One of the most popular items so far is the crab cake Reuben, topped with a red pepper horseradish slaw and Swiss cheese and served on marbled rye bread.

Also served on marbled rye is the new patty melt topped with grilled red onions and a Dijon mustard sauce. While tater tots previously accompanied the sandwiches at Anne Bonny’s, they are now served with house-made chips.

In an attempt to make the menu a bit more seafood-centric, Anne Bonny’s has added fresh chili-lime rubbed mahi-mahi that can be served on a sandwich or salad with cucumber pico de gallo.

A house-made guacamole is now on the menu, loaded with chucks of avocado and fresh tomato and jalapeno.

Thirsty guests will find a revamped beer list and cocktail menu with items such as the Ocean Breeze with rum, coconut crème, pineapple juice and blue curacuo; the Spiked Cheerwine with black cherry rum, vanilla rum, amaretto and Coca-Cola; and a classic Painkiller with Pusser’s rum. There are also close to a dozen frozen cocktails on the menu.

And speaking of frozen treats, Lazy Jack’s Ice Cream Shop, located just in front of The Barge and operated by Anne Bonny’s, offers a wide variety of ice cream, including vanilla and chocolate soft-serve. There are plenty of cold drinks such as fresh-squeezed lemonade, which can be mixed with the vanilla soft-serve for a refreshing summer treat.

Anne Bonny’s Bar & Grill offers live acoustic music on Sunday, Monday, Friday and Saturday and is open daily at 11 a.m.

Lazy Jack’s is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
