Wilmington-based franchise Clean Eatz recently received a place at The Future 50 table, an annual list of the fastest growing small franchise concepts in the U.S., as presented by Restaurant Business Magazine.
Ranked among those considered some of the industry’s most innovate and visionary, Clean Eatz came in at No. 43.
“Our mission is to change people’s lives,” said Clean Eatz co-founder Evonne Varady. “We do this through educating on how to lead a healthy lifestyle, positive motivation, and fresh, balanced meals geared toward the individual. To be on such an honorable list as The Future 50 just reinforces that we’re on the path to making a difference.”
The Future 50 report measures the fastest growing concepts with annual sales between $25 million and $50 million, according to Restaurant Business.
Clean Eatz launched its franchise model three years ago, and the brand has since grown to more than 33 locations from Pennsylvania to Florida, and as far west as Illinois.
Varady and her husband, Don, have also created an online meal plan service and a full line-up of nutritional food products. The company has recently launched its new lifestyle menu, designed to be customized for all stages of life. New menu items include a Grecian steak wrap with shredded beef, mozzarella, banana peppers, red onion and Grecian sauce in a whole wheat wrap, a bison burger with turkey bacon and a kale salad with salmon, tomatoes, goat cheese, cranberries and quinoa.
By the end of 2018, Clean Eatz plans to add several dozen more locations, with a goal of 60 cafes by year's end.
“In our mind, we’re just getting started,” Varady said. “In every community, there are people who crave healthier days ahead…they want the most out of life and just need a friend to give them the guidance and tools. Through our knowledge of how to hit personal fitness milestones and our thoughtful approach to clean cooking, we plan to be by their side every step of the way.”
