Christopher’s Steakhouse & Seafood Expanding To Leland Location

By Jessica Maurer, posted Jul 11, 2018
Kafat Chuton, owner of Christopher’s Steakhouse & Seafood in Elizabethtown, has leased 4,030 square feet of space in Waterford Village at 2013 Old Regent Way, Suite 210, in Leland.

Chuton, who also operated a Christopher’s location in Lumberton until its sale last year, said he saw a need for a steakhouse in the Leland area.

Chuton has been in the restaurant for the better part of two decades, and said it was his mentor, Chris Bouchard, who helped him to develop the Christopher’s Steakhouse concept.

“Chris is like family to me and without his support and guidance none of this would be possible,” Chuton said.

Chuton said Bouchard, for whom the restaurant is named, resides in Florida, but recently came to North Carolina to help and advise him in securing the new location.

Licensed to serve Certified Angus Beef, Christopher’s will offer an evolving menu of the high-quality meats, poultry and seafood, with a menu very similar to the Elizabethtown location, according to Chuton.

Chuton said the space, formerly occupied by Felipe’s Tacos & Tequila,
requires only some simple cosmetic changes and he is hoping to open by mid-August.
