The annual Wilmington Wine & Food Festival, May 10-14, will bring together top area chefs with the best of the wine, beer and spirits industry to celebrate great food and drink. The festival provides a diverse range of epicurean experiences showcasing the history and culture, and cuisine of the Port City.

This year’s lineup includes a May 10 dinner at manna entitled France vs. Spain 2.0. The evening begins with a 6 p.m. cocktail hour followed by a nine-course dinner with nine wine parings.

Thursday evening, May 11, features dinner hosted by chef Jessica Cabo of EAST at the Blockade Runner. The night will begin with an outdoor cocktail reception, followed by dinner in the EAST dining room.

The Bourbon and BBQ Derby Cocktail Party, sponsored by Trey Herring Bourbon and Southern Smoke BBQ, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 12, on the grounds of Bellamy Mansion. Matthew Register of Southern Smoke will serve his award-winning barbecue, and local mixologists will vie for “best cocktail” votes. The bar will feature premium wines from the festival as well as local beer and signature Trey Herring Bourbon cocktails.

The Grand Tasting Event, where area chefs will compete for top sweet and savory dishes, will also be held at Bellamy Mansion at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13 . Along with tastes from each restaurant, more than 150 wines from around the world will be served.

Sunday, May 14, it’s Bubbles, Brews and Street Eats at the Bellamy with local beer, food trucks, champagne and mimosas.

A three-day pass for the events from Friday through Sunday is available, as well as individual tickets. Find full details on the event's website.

Proceeds from the 2017 events will benefit local charities including First Fruit Ministries. HOOF Educational Farm Animal Sanctuary, and Ocean Cure.
