LM Restaurants Inc. (LMR) has been named the 31st-fastest growing mid-market private company in North Carolina by Business North Carolina and Cherry Bekaert LLP.

The Mid-Market Fast 40 is determined by revenue and employment growth.

“It’s quite an achievement for us to receive this award again,” said brand manager Mindy Stroupe, who accepted the award on behalf of LMR. “We are able to continue growing our business because of our energetic staff and their commitment to superb hospitality.”

This is the fifth year that LM Restaurants has been named to the Mid-Market Fast 40, according to Stroupe.

LMR operates six brands, including Carolina Ale House, Bluewater Waterfront Grill, Henry’s, Hops Supply Co., Oceanic and Taverna Agora.

According to the company, much of its growth is attributed to the Carolina Ale House concept. There are currently 18 Carolina Ale House locations in North Carolina and additional locations in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

This winter LMR will open its seventh brand, Vidrio, a Mediterranean concept to be located below the Carolina Ale House at 500 Glenwood Ave. in Raleigh. It will feature a menu of small plates, 35 wines by the glass and a private event space accommodating up to 200 guests.

Stroupe said the development of a new Wilmington restaurant at 155 N. Front St. is pending the redevelopment of the Water Street parking deck. The former Bank of America building was purchased by LMR in 2014.
