In celebration of the restaurant’s first anniversary NeMa Lounge & Eatery is mixing things up.

Owners Neal Lovaas and Mark Borkowski have created a new logo, designed new menus, debuted a new website and launched a new line of alcohol-infused frozen yogurts called BoozeYo.

“We’ve been open a year now, and we felt the need for an upgrade to a new logo and style that was a true reflection of who we are – a sleek, sexy martini bar with delicious, made from scratch cuisine,” Lovaas said.

New menu items at NeMa, at 25 South Water St. in Chandler’s Wharf, include jerk shrimp skewers with pineapple salsa, North Carolina veggie skewers and chickpea ravioli with nut-free pesto.

Drink specials include mojitos and cosmos infused with local strawberries and blueberries and the Peach Smash, a Maker’s Mark cocktail infused with sweet, local peaches.

“For the summer, we want to focus on keeping our menu light and fresh because as our bodies adapt to the hot weather outside so does our palate,” said Borkowski, co-owner and head chef. “As a result, we are enjoying the bounty of the sun and rain by utilizing our local resources to enjoy the beautiful, colorful fruits and vegetables only available this time of year.”
