Grand opening festivities are taking place Wednesday at the newest Bojangles’ location in Burgaw.

Doors opened at 5 a.m., and giveaways of food and coupons are planned throughout the day. Opening day customers will be able to enter to win Bojangles’ breakfast for a year – that’s one Bojangles’ breakfast combo every week for 52 weeks.

Other opening day offers include a free 22-ounce iced tea with any purchase from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., a free kids' meal with any purchase 2-5 p.m. and a coupon for a free ham, steak or sausage biscuit with any purchase 5-10 p.m.

The restaurant measures about 3,800 square feet and will seat more than 75 people. The dining area will feature Pender High School memorabilia along the walls, highlighting Bojangles’ support of Pender’s athletic programs.

“We are thrilled to open a new Bojangles’ restaurant in Burgaw,” said Mike Burns, regional vice president for Bojangles’. “It’s always exciting for us to open a restaurant in a new community. We look forward to providing local residents with our popular, freshly-made menu items and friendly service for many years to come.”

The company-owned restaurant, at 831 N.C. 53 East in Burgaw, will create more than 30 new jobs and is Bojangles’ second restaurant in Pender County. The first is in Hampstead.

All menu items will be served, including breakfast from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
