CAM Café at the Cameron Art Museum is now serving tapas on Wednesday evenings. The museum’s galleries will be open during this time as well, allowing visitors to view current exhibitions and enjoy a meal.

“Offering an additional evening when the museum is open gives visitors and patrons more flexibility to experience our exhibitions and a creative menu of tapas from our wonderful chef Jessica Cabo,” Anne Brennan, the museum's executive director.

The current menu features Spanish-influenced tapas. In Spain, the term tapas refers to a variety of hot or cold snacks and appetizers. The CAM Café menu will change periodically to represent tapas from various cultures, such as Japan, where small-plates and bar food are referred to as izakaya.

The Spanish tapas menu will include items such as a Spanish cheese plate with a variety of artisanal cheeses, fresh fruit, almonds and crostinis and a charcuterie plate featuring orange-marinated olives and whole-grain mustard. Tapas prices start at $3 a plate.

The pairing of food and drink is also part of the tapas experience and the CAM Café is offering two Spanish wines with the current menu: Honoro Vera Garnacha and Honoro Vera White Wine. Both will be available by the glass or bottle.

CAM Café will also be featuring special performances by musicians and demonstrations by visual artists. For information about the current menu and upcoming performances, click here

CAM Café is open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; for tapas from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday; for dinner from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday; and for brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. CAM Café is located inside the Cameron Art Museum at 3201 S. 17th St. in Wilmington.
