Taps And Tails Features Wine, Beer And Boil

The Ogden Tap Room will hold its inaugural beer and wine festival Taps and Tails on Sept. 6.

The event will take place on the grounds of the restaurant, 7324 Market St., and will run 3-7 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Knights of Columbus Charities.
 
Over 20 breweries showcasing beer from North Carolina as well as other parts of the country will be represented. Local breweries include Kind Beers, Good Hops Brewing, Broomtail Craft Brewery and Front Street Brewery.
 
“The festival will be a great opportunity for people to try many beers from around the state as well as the country,” Ogden Tap Room owner Jeff Deininger said. “There will be representatives from each of the breweries that will be on hand to help educate drinkers about the different styles and flavors."
 
The tap room will serve a low country shrimp and crawfish boil, and festivalgoers are encouraged to bring their beach chairs and enjoy their food and drinks while taking in a live performance by Jim Quick and the Coastline Band.
 
Tickets will be $30 in advance and $40 the day of. VIP tickets are also available for $40/$50. Click for more information.
