Autumn Hall Developers Move Forward With New Plans

By Cece Nunn, posted Aug 20, 2015
The developers of Autumn Hall are moving forward with plans for the third phase of the Eastwood Road community’s residential expansion.

The city is reviewing site plans, posted on the city's project tracking website Wednesday, for 32 single-family home lots, which will follow the same concept as the community’s other phases but also come with some unique water views and a park under construction, said Blake Frazer, vice president of Fonville Morisey Barefoot, a company that sells and markets new homes.

Frazer’s company works with Autumn Hall developer Trask Land Co. on marketing homes and homesites in several of the Trask’s new and growing neighborhoods.

Adding lots to Autumn Hall responds to what Frazier described as “strong demand.”

“For both our builder clients and our retail lot clients who want custom homes, we need the homesites," he said.

Home prices, including the cost of lots, in Autumn Hall start around $600,000. Frazier said about 80 homes are complete and occupied, with 10 to 12 under construction at a time. Autumn Hall can hold 250 home sites, he said.

Maple Park, which will offer another source of open space residents can use, is under construction and expected to be completed this fall, as is Carolina Bay at Autumn Hall, a 124-apartment retirement community that offers continuing care. Also in the plan is a 25,000-square-foot building expected to include office and retail tenants. The building will be called Dungannon Village and is part of the community's commercial development led by Cape Fear Commercial.

The next step for Autumn Hall’s latest residential development will be to get listed on the agenda of an upcoming city of Wilmington Technical Review Committee meeting. The plans were submitted by Norris & Tunstall Engineers Inc. of Wilmington.
