"It helps us to market the site to go ahead and have a site plan approved," Rogers said.
Then one of the only things left to do is get a building permit, he said.
The Cameron family is one of the largest land owners in the area.
"We're just making more of a concerted effort to get any land we think appropriate for devleopment to go ahead and get it site plan approved," Rogers said.
The warehouse preliminary plans were drawn by Hanover Design Services, according to the document. The plans are scheduled to be reviewed by the city's Technical Review Committee on Nov. 7, according to the city's project tracking website.
The property is next to National Gypsum Co., a wallboard plant that restarted operations at its Sunnyvale Drive location last year.
