Pink-Trash Buys Industrial Property To Expand

By Cece Nunn, posted Jun 22, 2015
Pink-Trash, a local company that began offering waste and recycling services in the area about three years ago, plans to expand with a new facility.

The firm bought an industrial property at 221 Sutton Lake Road near the county landfill, which “will help the company improve its operational efficiencies,” according to a recent news release from Pink-Trash, formally known as Coastal Ladies Carting.

“With the assistance of LS Smith Co., we will restore the 6,400-square-foot facility to bring life back to Sutton Lake Road,” said Pink-Trash president Kelly Buffalino.

The release said the purchase will help Pink-Trash accommodate a growing workforce of more than 30 local, full-time employees and an increasing truck fleet of more than 25 heavy/utility trucks.

“The new space will feature a comfortable atmosphere for our amazing team to wind down after their work day,” Buffalino said in the release.

The company bought the 2-acre property for about $345,000 earlier this month from LCH Holdings LLC, according to a deed filed in New Hanover County.

Pink-Trash will keep its retail office location at 311 Judges Road, the release stated.

Pink-Trash has served more than 11,000 customers since its start and contributed more than $52,000 to Pretty in Pink Foundation Wilmington, according to the release.
