McDonald's, Four Other Businesses Coming To New Wal-Mart Center

By Cece Nunn, posted Nov 17, 2014
A McDonald’s restaurant will be part of Bayshore Commons, a new shopping center anchored by a Wal-Mart that is currently under construction at 8107 Market St. in the Porters Neck area.

In addition to the popular fast food chain, Buffalo Wild Wings, Fantastic Sam’s hair salon, Lee Nails and Sally Beauty Supply have signed Bayshore Commons leases, the first co-tenants to be announced as the new shopping center takes shape, said Nicholas Silivanch, a partner and vice president of retail at Eastern Carolinas Commercial Real Estate.

"They're all going to be complementary to the area," Silivanch said.

The new McDonald's will be located on 1.73 acres in one of the shopping center's two outparcels along Market Street, Silivanch said.

ECCRE is the exclusive leasing agent for the shopping center, owned by Paramount Development Corp.

Bayshore Commons includes more than 250,000 square feet for businesses, with the Wal-Mart going in more than 190,000 square feet of that space.

The center is expected to be open for business by the summer of 2015, ECCRE officials have said.
