A lawn and tree service opened an office recently on Carolina Beach Road, in a 1,260-square-foot building formerly occupied by Mad Mike’s Scooters and Cycles.

Christine and Paul Booth, a Wilmington couple, started Booth Bros. Lawn and Tree Service about nine months ago.

“We were basically working out of an office at our home, but we wanted to expand,” Christine Booth said. “We wanted people to know that we are here.”

Though Booth Bros. as a company is somewhat new, the Booths have been doing the same kind of work for 20 years, she said.

They named the business Booth Bros. because they have three sons in their 20s who have been in the business for about five years, and this way, “when we retire, they have something of their own,” Christine Booth said.

The Booths leased the space, at 2845 Carolina Beach Road, directly from the landlord. Christine Booth said the business has eight full-time employees, and provides numerous services, including mowing and tree removal, to clients throughout the Cape Fear region.
