New Tenant Lifts Landfall Center Occupancy

Wine And Design will soon join the tenant line up at Landfall Shopping Center, bringing the center’s occupancy rate above 90 percent.

The company, which provides painting classes and was formerly at 3342 Wrightsville Ave., on Friday began moving into Suite JJ – a 1,487-square-foot unit between Haverty’s and Figments Art Gallery at the shopping center, said Buddy Green, with Wilmington-based CCSI Inc., which did the upfit on the space.

Mike Brown, a broker with Wilmington-based Cape Fear Commercial, represented Landfall center, while F. Spruill Thompson, senior vice president and broker with Cape Fear Commercial, represented Wine And Design during the long-term lease transaction for an undisclosed amount.   

Brown said Thursday the shopping center, 1319 Military Cutoff Road, is seeing a number of lease renewals and tenant interest.

Cape Fear Commercial assumed exclusive leasing and management rights to the 133,122-square-foot, grocery-anchored neighborhood shopping center from Chapel Hill-based Landfall Ventures LLC in January 2012.

Since taking over the center’s leasing responsibilities, the center has added a number of new retailers, including Edible Arrangements and Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt.
