In an email to customers on March 6, Clean Eatz owners Don and Evonne Varady stated that in order to meet shifting demands in 2019 and beyond, Clean Eatz has closed its Monkey Junction location at 5916 Carolina Beach Rd.
 
“This comes as we expand services in other areas,” the email stated.

Sarah Bon of Bon’s Eye Marketing confirmed that a new Clean Eatz location will be opening at 503 Old Waterford Way, Suite 107, in Leland, and that the company is shooting for an early May opening. 
 
Thyme Savor Catering announced via Facebook on March 7 that the business will be acquiring Bon Appetit restaurant and catering later this month.
 
“The owner at Bon Appetit restaurant and catering has decided to retire and sell the property to us. We were a first choice for her because of the similarities in our catering businesses. We are super excited and honored to take on this new venture. We carry an enormous respect for what the Costa family has done for their employees and community,” stated Thyme Savor owners Jeff and Danielle Cousler in the post.
 
Jeff Cousler said the company has outgrown its current space at 5941 Carolina Beach Rd. He said the acquisition will allow the business to grow and that he will share further details once the closing takes place.

Chris Batten of Bespoke Coffee & Dry Goods, 202 Princess St., said recently that he will be opening a second location of Bespoke at 615 S. 16th St. in the Cargo District.
 
The Cargo District, established in 2017, includes startups, social enterprises, retail shops, co-working spaces and container homes and offices.
 
Batten said his space will serve coffee and food, although coffee will be the main focus upon opening. Stay tuned for more details on the development of this unique space.
