Target market: “People who appreciate art, craftsmanship and high-quality handmade products and artworks”
Company growth: “Since 2013 we have grown from around 60 local and regional artists to over 200 local, regional and national artists.”
How has your product helped impact the region’s economic development? “As a supporter of local artists we have provided the opportunity to sell their work to a much larger audience than they might access on their own. This positively impacts growth vis-a-vis livability as one of the strongest features of the Cape Region is our arts culture.”
How did you originally come up with the concept for your product? “The concept was a mix of opportunity and vision. When the space became available the owners of Blue Moon decided to transform the traditional gallery space into an eclectic and dynamic artisan boutique complementing and enhancing the success of the Blue Moon customer base with a unique sister business.”
