OneDigital Acquires Mann & Watters Insurance Of Wilmington

By Vince Winkel, posted Sep 14, 2016
Atlanta-based OneDigital, the nation’s largest company focused solely on employee benefits, has solidified its North Carolina market share by acquiring Mann & Watters Insurance of Wilmington.

Agency owner Tommy Mann along with Mann & Watters account representative Parks Carpenter will direct operations for the new office for OneDigital.

OneDigital has been expanding its North Carolina footprint – with locations in Raleigh, Charlotte, and Sanford, as well as Greenville, South Carolina.

“As the complex employee benefits arena continues to evolve, we chose to align with an industry leader who can offer our clients optimal tools and resources,” said Tommy Mann, who founded Mann & Watters and is now a principal with OneDigital, in a new release. “Having access to technology platforms, analytic tools and proprietary products, in addition to the strong team of compliance and HR experts within OneDigital, elevates us into an entirely different league. This relationship enables us to provide employers and their employees comprehensive programs and solutions under one roof.”

Headquartered at 1017 Ashes Drive in Wilmington, Mann & Watters was established in 1989.

“Mann & Watters is another strategic addition to our team in the Carolinas,” said Mike Sullivan, chief growth officer at OneDigital, in the news release. “Tommy and Parks have built solid relationships with the firm’s 100-plus clients, and their superior service will be enhanced by the expanded capabilities and dynamic programs and services OneDigital brings to the table.”

OneDigital has more than 800 employees throughout the country, serves 35,000 companies, partners with 275 leading brokers and manages nearly $4 billion in premiums. It was formerly known as Digital Insurance and Digital Benefit Advisors.
