Human Capital Solutions Acquires Clear Concepts

By Jeff Hidek, posted Aug 11, 2016
Wilmington-based Human Capital Solutions has acquired the recruiting firm Clear Concepts, also of Wilmington.

Human Capital, a retained executive search and professional recruiting service specializing in life sciences, health care, industrial and technology sectors, deepens its offerings by adding Clear Concepts’ experience in the aviation, aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics and technology sectors.

Financial terms of the merger transaction were not disclosed in a release this week, which called the new company one of the largest retained executive search firms in the Southeastern United States.

"The combination of Human Capital Solutions and Clear Concepts represents a marriage between two of the industry's preeminent executive search and professional recruiting firms," Bo Burch, CEO of Human Capital Solutions, said in the release. "The strategic alignment of our firms brings together a more comprehensive, focused, and experienced organization that will deliver unmatched capabilities and further extend our brand globally."

Tom Cleary, CEO and president of Clear Concepts will join Human Capital Solutions as a managing director.

"Clear Concepts and Human Capital Solutions are both leading brands closely aligned in practice areas, markets and our overall strategic approach to working with clients," Cleary said in the release. "This collaboration will extend our collective capabilities, build on our shared strengths and create more opportunities with clients who will significantly benefit from our unique value proposition and combined expertise."

Clear Concepts moved its operations to Wilmington in 2005. In addition to Wilmington, Human Capital Solutions has a presence throughout the Americas, Canada and Europe.
