Monday: Cape Fear Community College holds its annual Harvest Health, Wellness and Safety Fair 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Schwartz Center. About 80 vendors representing a variety of businesses, health organizations and educational groups will be represented.
Tuesday: The Wilmington City Council meets 6:30 p.m. in City Hall. One item on the agenda is to discuss a resolution opposing a proposed statewide property insurance rate increase. Click here to read the full agenda.
Wednesday: Time Warner Cable officials hold a ceremonial opening for their new LEED-certified Wilmington operations building on Scientific Park Drive.
Friday: The 6th annual Rock for a Cure concert takes place on the Reel Café’s rooftop 7-10 p.m. The event, which includes a $5 admission, is a fundraiser for the New Hanover Regional Medical Center’s Pink Ribbon Project.
Saturday: Thousands of racers and their supporters descend on Wilmington for the annual PPD Beach2Battleship triathlon, which stretch from Wrightsville Beach toward White Lake and finish in downtown Wilmington.
