Allstate Insurance has recognized David Ager, agency owner, with the Chairman’s Conference Award for high rankings in customer satisfaction, customer retention and business growth.

Wilmington Health Endocrinology has welcomed diabetologist Dr. Seth Braunstein M.D, Ph.D. to its medical staff. Dr. Braunstein received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University, his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and his Ph.D. from New York University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

Erica Brown, a telecommunicator with New Hanover County, received the 2012 Mary Antley Telecommunicator of the Year Award. According to the announcement of her honor, Brown was selected by her peers and is recognized for the pride and passion she has in her work, her dedicated efforts and willingness to work as part of a team.

Century 21 Boling in Myrtle Beach garnered the President’s Award for 2011. The President’s Award honors a group of offices that achieved the Centurion levels of production and earned the Quality Service Pinnacle award in the same year.

Century 21 Sweyer & Associates earned Five Star recognition from Cartus Broker Network.

Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage was named a Platinum Level firm by the Cartus Broker Network. The agency is the first Cartus Broker member to be awarded the Platinum level for the Wilmington and Jacksonville markets. Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage has ten offices in New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender and Onslow counties.

Jennifer LaGarde, library media specialist at Myrtle Grove Middle School and lead media specialist for New Hanover County Schools, has been named “Mover & Shaker” by Library Journal. LaGarde has been in the education field for 15 years and was a former language arts teacher. She earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary English education from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington and a master’s degree in library science from Appalachian State University.

Two local printing companies won prestigious industry PICA awards. Linprint of Wilmington received two Best of Category Awards and one Special Judges Award. Coastal Printing and Graphics of Shallotte won eight Best of Category Awards, one Special Judges Award and one Award of Excellence.

NHRMC’S Zimmer Cancer Center has been granted the Outstanding Achievement Award by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. The award recognizes cancer programs that achieve excellence in care of cancer patients. NHRMC’S Zimmer Cancer Center is southeastern North Carolina’s only cancer center dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and support of cancer patients.

First Bank has named Ryan Pierce financial advisor for its Wilmington area branches. Pierce received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
   
Realty World Cape Fear of Wilmington and Southport has recognized the following agents for their accomplishments: Nilesh Jethwa as top listing agent for March; Christine Cronick as top listing agent, top sales agent and agent of the month for March; and Mike Bain, top sales agent and agent of the month for March.

Senn Dunn Insurance named Wilmington insurance professionals Jarrett Shearin, CIC and commercial insurance advisor, its 2012 Boss of the Year and Kelly Leishman, commercial account manager, its 2012 Rookie of the Year. The agency recognized Janet Crosscup, CIC,CISR and commercial account manager, as vice president of the State Association of Insurance Professionals.

St. James Plantation, a project completed by Thomas Construction Group of Wilmington, has been named an Honoree by Golf Inc. magazine in its Clubhouse of the Year competition. The competition showcases the best renovated and remodeled clubhouses around the world.

Delany Radiologists announced the addition of John P. Thompson, M.D. to its practice. Dr. Thompson received his M.D. from Duke University School of Medicine and completed his residency in General Thoracic Surgery at Duke University. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology.
